In 2023, MCBC began to partner with GIMI, a missions group. Furthermore, we desire to commit to biblical missions. We are under the conviction that a local church is the embodiment of missions, sending out men and women to make disciples in all the world. We work alongside GIMI (Global Impact Missions Inc.) in support of disaster relief, church planing and discipleship training.
Discipleship Training In Uganda & Hospital in Togo
Local indigenous missionaries, pastors and christian workers will come to Nebbi for biblical training and discipleship. We (the Americans) aren’t going there with superior knowledge, but with a heart to help and teach and train so they can do the same in the local churches they minister in. The long term vision is to establish training centers across the world.
In Togo, West Africa, a local indigenous missionary has established five churches and recently a hospital. In America, health care is readily available, but not in Togo. For this to be a part of the outreach for Christ is enormous. Every single person who is treated at this hospital is counseled with concerning the gospel.
Our Position And Vision On Missions
Our foundational position concerning missions: Making disciples of the lost in our community and making disciples of those of other people groups.
What we know the Scriptures teach about missions: God calls on His people to pray that all peoples would be saved so that all peoples can praise God and enjoy Him, cf. Psalm 67.
We are to make disciples both locally and abroad, cf. Matthew 28:18-20. Concerning both local and indigenous groups and churches, Ephesians 4:11-16 lays out how this should be conducted.
If we want to make disciples, we need to establish Christ-centered, Word-centered churches where the whole body is growing and serving together.
Missions Philosophy
Missions must be Christ-centered, therefore, missions must be gospel-centered. Missions must be Word-centered. Missions must be Spirit-empowered. Missions must be God-dependent through prayer.
